Sypik Launches Quang Duong-Backed Sypik Avatar Collection

Vietnam-based pickleball brand Sypik has launched the Sypik Avatar Collection—a series of paddles backed by none other than Quang Duong. The 19-year-old, of course, is Vietnam’s pride in pickleball and is arguably Asia’s top player at the moment.
The Quang Duong-backed paddle collection is inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender, with Sypik describing it as channeling the power of all four elements: Earth, Water, Fire, and Air. Each paddle in the Sypik Avatar Collection, according to Sypik is powered by SYCORE™ All-Foam Core technology and has the following notable features:
- Solid foam core – no honeycomb
- Massive energy transfer and control
- Wider sweet spot
- Greater durability and strength
Sypik also tauts that the Sypik Avatar Collection is tournament-ready and is UPA-A-certified and PPA/MLP-eligible. This means the world’s top pros can use it in high-level tournaments, including those in the US circuit.

Sypik Avatar: Backed by the Quang Duong Touch
Sypik and Quang Duong sealed their partnership in May after the latter’s brief and rather tumultuous dalliance with Selkirk Sport. Both rising names in the pickleball scene, Quang Duong and Sypik are a match made in heaven, as the former is known for his fluid, unstoppable “bending” style on the court, while the latter has quickly carved a niche as among the best pickleball brands today.
The launch of Sypik Avatar is well-timed as well, as the Vietnamese pickleball sensation’s career is somewhat in a flux after his unceremonious exit from the UPA recently. Even before his contract was terminated, Quang Duong had already spending more time in Asia, and in Vietnam, in particular, to promote the sport. Weeks after his firing, it appears the young man is actually unbothered and is, on the contrary, having the time of his life being the biggest ambassador of the world’s fastest-rising sport in the largest, most populous continent in the planet.
Now, Quang Duong is having a line of pickleball paddles inspired by him.
The Sypik Avatar Collection will be launching at the end of August 2025.
