Sypik, Pickle Social Club Launch ‘Pass the Paddle’ to Empower Next Generation of Malaysian Pickleball Players

Sypik has officially partnered with Pickle Social Club to launch the Pass the Paddle initiative, reinforcing its commitment to making pickleball more accessible to schoolchildren across Malaysia.
Sypik is Vietnam’s first homegrown pickleball brand, dedicated to producing high-quality paddles and accessories while proudly bringing a Vietnamese brand to the global stage. With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, Sypik operates a unique refurbishment programme that gives returned paddles a second life. Beyond equipment, the pickleball brand champions community growth through strategic partnerships and grassroots initiatives, empowering more people to discover and thrive in the sport of pickleball.
The Pickle Social Club, meanwhile, is Malaysia’s first dedicated pickleball social club and a pioneer of the pickleball boom seen today. More than a venue, the Pickle Social Club is a movement—a place where sport and community come together. Through coaching, social events, and competitive tournaments, the club is shaping the future of pickleball, and inspiring a new generation of players nationwide.
Sypik to Donate Paddles to Schools
As part of this effort, Sypik will donate all refurbished paddles returned under warranty claims, beginning with an initial contribution of more than 50 paddles. These paddles will be distributed to schools nationwide, giving students the opportunity to learn, play, and thrive through the sport of pickleball.
The initiative, supported by the Kuala Lumpur Pickleball Association (KLPA) and The Rakyat Championship, is designed to strengthen grassroots development of pickleball, and inspire the next generation of players across the country.
“At Sypik, we believe in giving equipment a second life while creating opportunities for the younger generation. By committing to the Pass the Paddle initiative, we are proud to support sustainability, community, and the growth of pickleball in Malaysia,” said Adrian Cheah, Representative of Sypik in Malaysia.
Pickleball, known for its inclusivity and ease of play, is one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide, and is rapidly gaining traction in Malaysia. Through initiatives like Pass the Paddle, schools are being equipped with resources that not only promote active lifestyles, but also foster teamwork, resilience, and community spirit.
Committed to Supporting Pickleball
In addition to its grassroots commitment, Sypik also participated in The Rakyat Championship tournament from 29 to 31 August as the official paddle sponsor. This partnership further demonstrates Sypik’s dedication to supporting both community engagement, and competitive excellence in the sport.
“This initiative is bigger than sport—it’s about giving every Malaysian child a chance to play, to belong, and to grow. With Sypik on board, we’re building a future where pickleball is part of our culture, our schools, and our communities,” said Mark Choo, founder of Pickle Social Club.
“Pass the Paddle is just the beginning. PSC and Sypik are committed to growing pickleball into a sport every Malaysian child can access, enjoy, and be proud of,” added Mark and Adrian.
