DUPR, Courtly Join Forces to Bring Verified Ratings to India’s Booming Pickleball Scene

Pickleball in India has been gathering momentum for some time, but the latest partnership between DUPR and Courtly feels like a genuine turning point. For the first time, players across the country can link their DUPR accounts directly to Courtly’s ecosystem, ensuring every match—whether in a formal tournament or a casual game logged through the app—feeds into an official global rating.

It’s a neat bit of integration that bridges the gap between local play and international recognition. Organisers can now submit scores with a single click, while players gain a trusted benchmark that travels with them across every game. In short, it takes the guesswork out of “what level are you?” and replaces it with a number that actually means something.

What Courtly Is and What It Does

Courtly Technologies Private Limited is based in New Delhi and has positioned itself as India’s full-stack racquet sports technology and community platform. Its work spans three main pillars:

  • Tournament Management System (TMS): A SaaS platform for organisers to run events end-to-end, from registration and scheduling to match formats, now with automated DUPR score submission.
  • Consumer Community App: A player-first app where individuals can track ratings, log matches, discover games, and connect with venues through a “Venue Hub” model.
  • Owned Events and Leagues: Courtly has created its own portfolio of competitive and social properties, including the Amateur Pickleball Tour, Minor League Pickleball India, and the Corporate Pickleball League, bringing structured play to cities across the country.

Courtly’s ambition is clear: to build infrastructure for racquet sports that goes beyond casual play, giving organisers and players a single ecosystem to manage competition, connect communities, and now, thanks to DUPR, measure skill against a global standard.

Why the Partnership Matters

For players, the integration means fairer matchmaking and more competitive games. DUPR ratings are now embedded inside Courtly’s app, ensuring that casual matches logged by friends carry the same weight as tournament fixtures. For organisers, it simplifies the process of seeding brackets and structuring events, with more than 30 competitive formats available to match the field.

The broader impact is significant. India’s pickleball scene has been expanding rapidly, with new courts opening across cities and grassroots leagues forming at pace. Courtly has been at the heart of that growth, and the DUPR partnership adds a layer of legitimacy that connects local enthusiasm to the global competitive framework.

A Step Towards the Future

As Tito Machado, CEO of DUPR, put it, the partnership makes it easier for players to track progress, compete, and connect with the wider pickleball community across Asia. For Courtly, it’s another stride toward building a structured ecosystem where every player—whether a first-timer or a seasoned competitor—has a clear pathway to fairer, more enjoyable matches.

India’s pickleball boom shows no signs of slowing. With Courtly and DUPR now working hand in hand, the sport’s grassroots energy has a proper channel to grow into something bigger, more organised, and unmistakably global.
