adidas Pickleball Signs Federico Staksrud, Set to Debut Signature Paddle for World No. 1

It’s no question adidas is full-steam ahead when it comes to pickleball. And its latest signing is further proof that one of the leading sports brands in the world is looking to become a pickleball powerhouse.
The latest addition to the adidas Pickleball Team is none other than Federico Staksrud. The top-ranked Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) singles player (no. 1 in singles since May 2024) and adidas jointly announced the new partnership via Instagram, with both releasing separate press releases therafter.
“I’m thrilled to work with adidas to set a new standard in pickleball equipment and continue to inspire players around the world,” Staksrud said in his press release.
Naturally, the feeling is mutual.
“Federico Staksrud represents the pinnacle of what it means to be a champion,” said Bryan Ogle of adidas Pickleball in the brand’s official release. “As the no. 1 men’s player in the world, his dedication to the sport, relentless pursuit of excellence, and unmatched passion for pickleball make him the perfect addition to the adidas Pickleball family.”

Staksrud Gets Much Deserved Signature Line
As part of adidas’s collaboration with the Argentinian, the sporting giant plans to give Staksrud his own signature paddle, with the launch tentatively set for April this year.
“Developing my own signature paddle with a brand renowned for its innovation and quality is an exciting opportunity. I’m thrilled to work with adidas to set a new standard in pickleball equipment and continue to inspire players around the world,” said Staksrud about his upcoming signature equipment.
Curiously, Staksrud never got his own paddle from JOOLA, who had been the Argentinian sensation’s paddle sponsor for some time. However, Staksrud ended his partnership with JOOLA with a separate announcement on social media just days before the adidas collaboration was launched.

Signing with one of the biggest sporting brands is the latest achievement for Staksrud, who has started 2025 with a bang. The Argentinian pickler reached the finals of three events at the Zimmer Biomet Masters a few weeks ago. He also secured the top ranking in men’s doubles—surpassing Ben Johns and Collin Johns along the way—to add to his no. 1 seed at individual play.
Now, he is arguably the face of adidas Pickleball.
Indeed, it is shaping up to be quite the 2025 for Staksrud.
