Bangi Pickleball Club, Persatuan Sukarelawan Sg Long Announce Balakong Pickleball Championship 2025
The Bangi Pickleball Club and Persatuan Sukarelawan Sg Long have teamed up to organise the Balakong Pickleball Championship 2025.
The tournament will feature an Intermediate Category and will be held on 3 May 2025 at Double Bounce Balakong. The specific categories will be Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles for 19+ picklers and Mixed Doubles with a combined age of 90 above.
At stake at the Balakong Pickleball Championship 2025 is RM 11,000 worth of cash and prizes. In particular, the winners will receive the following:
Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles
Champion: RM 1,188 + trophy + 2x Astes Sports Clairvoyant Pro (worth RM 990)
2nd place: RM 688 + trophy
3rd place: RM 388 + trophy
Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles (combined age of 90)
Champion: RM 588 + trophy + 2x Astes Sports merchandise (worth RM 508)
2nd place: RM 288+ trophy
3rd place: RM 188 + trophy
Those interested to join the Balakong Pickleball Championship 2025 must have a DUPR rating below 3.5 at the time of their registration and must have no duplicate accounts. The Men’s Double and Mixed Doubles will accept up to 32 teams, while the Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles with combined age of 90 will be capped at 16 teams. Players can sign up in multiple categories as long as there will be no scheduling conflicts.
The Balakong Pickleball Championship 2025 is being organised with the help of co-organisers Majlis Perbandaran Kajang (MPKJ), PEBS, and DAPSY. Astes Sports is serving as an official partner and sponsor, while Red Bull and Warrior are the official beverage sponsors. Double Bounce Balaking is the tournament’s official venue partner.
