‘Exceeded Expectations’: Selangor International Pickleball Tournament 2025 Highlights Malaysia as Sport’s Epicentre in Asia

The Subang Jaya Pickleball Club and MyPickleball, with the help of JW Pacific Express, successfully held the Selangor International Pickleball Tournament 2025 from 10 to 12 May at the courts of 91 Pickleball Club House in Selangor, Malaysia.
The Selangor International Pickleball Tournament 2025 gathered some of the finest pickleball players from more than 10 countries. Some of these countries were the USA, Vietnam, India, China, and the Philippines. With the stars descending on Selangor, Malaysia became the epicentre of pickleball in Malaysia, which is among the countries where the sport is growing at a meteoric pace. It also marked a significant step toward cementing Selangor as a pickleball hub in Asia.
“This event exceeded all expectations, not just in skill and competition, but in spirit,” said Gee, Tournament Director of the Selangor International Pickleball Tournament 2025. “To see players from all over the world, from different walks of life, sharing courts and culture in one space, this is what pickleball is all about. And Malaysia is ready to lead the charge in Asia.”

Selangor International Pickleball Tournament 2025 Gives Stars Chance to Shine
National athletes from across other sporting disciplines lent even more star power to the competition. Among these stars were badminton legends Koo Kien Keat and Chan Peng Soon, footballers Intan Serah and Steffi Sarge Kaur, and field hockey icons Dato’ Mirnawan Nawawi and Keevan Raj. Their presence in the Selangor International Pickleball Tournament 2025 underscored pickleball’s broadening appeal as a sport for all.
