Facolos and DINKiT Store Signing Ceremony Cements Intention to Grow Pickleball in Malaysia

Anyone involved in the pickleball scene in Malaysia will have noticed the buzz being created by Vietnamese paddle brand Facolos.

Over recent weeks, they have been very visible, supporting Malaysian events, sponsoring Malaysian players, contributing to online dialogue and networking at pickleball social games.

Clearly Facolos is taking the Malaysian market seriously.

They underlined this point with a signing ceremony which took place at Ajak courts in Jiospace, where they showcased and cemented their plans for pickleball in Malaysia, promising that despite the ripples they have already made, this signing ceremony was just the beginning of their journey.

The other part of this equation is DINKiT Store who are now the signed and sealed  official exclusive distributor for Facolos in Malaysia. DINKiT Store is an evolution in the “Dink” brand started by Ruben Nah and Ken Lam which began with opening some of the first purpose built courts in Malaysia and is not extending to distribution of quality pickleball brands in the country.

Getting the evening started Facolos’s Mr Sammy laid out just what the event meant to Facolos.

“Facolos is a proud Vietnamese pickleball brand with a mission to redefine the sport,  not just through innovation in equipment, but also by building a vibrant, passionate community.”

After growing rapidly in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, Facolos has chosen Malaysia as our next exciting destination. Why? Because we see incredible energy here — from dedicated players, rising athletes, to a growing clubs. Tonight is the start of something big.”

Speaking to Ken Lam from DINKiT Store, he reiterated the sentiment. He explained how they see everyone from social players to Malaysia’s elite grace their courts, and their passion is infectious.

Ken told us “It’s difficult not to get caught up in the passion and enthusiasm for the game that’s sweeping the country. We see it at our courts, and we wanted to do more to support the pickleball community. One way we thought we could help was by becoming a distribution channel for high-quality pickleball brands, ensuring that Malaysian pickleballers get access to great brands at great prices. But more than that, we want to work with brands that have a passion for the game and care about growing the sport as much as they care about their bottom line. Facolos exemplify this, and for us they are a natural partner that share the aims and aspirations we espouse at DinkIt  Store”

With that in mind, the signings got underway, and they were not limited to just DINKIT Stores and Facolos getting their agreement inked, Ken also took the opportunity to sign agreements with retail partners across the whole of Malaysia, ensuring pickleballers from Johor to Penang will get access to qualified knowledgeable reseller of Facolos equipment.

Next Facolos highlighted their commitment to Malaysia players, First announcing a partnership with leading Malaysia pro Colin Wong, whose involvement with Facolos will extend beyond just using their equipment.  Colin also aims to work in with Facolos be an ambassador for the sport and encourage wider adoption and play. He hopes to focus in three main areas:

– A Brand Ambassador for Facolos

– A mentor and icon for the next generation of Malaysian pickleball athletes

– A symbol of Facolos’ commitment to developing local heroes into global contenders

This was followed by the introduction of the whole Facolos Team made up of :

Facolos hope that bringing together this squad of players it is the beginning of a powerful movement. Together, we aim not only elevating the level of play among athletes, but also expanding the player base, building a thriving, inclusive, and passionate community united by this incredible sport.

A fitting last word on what this evening meant to Facolos goes to Mr Sammy who told us “FACOLOS believes that no journey is ever travelled alone. Our dream to grow the pickleball community in Malaysia could never become a reality without the unwavering support, belief, and dedication of these amazing partners standing beside us. Tonight was not just about signing papers — it has been about building a shared vision, a shared future, where every player, every partner, and every paddle swing moves us closer to something greater.
