Global Brand adidas Launches AdiPower in Bid for Strong Return to Pickleball
Global sports powerhouse adidas is back stronger than ever in pickleball after launching AdiPower, the Three Stripes’ new line-up of paddles designed for force and power.
The AdiPower line is especially made for pickleball players who favour forceful shot-making and power, which only makes sense given the series’ new mantra: “Always Return Stronger.”
Indeed, adidas is looking to make a strong return to pickleball after Metalbone, the global brand’s first foray into manufacturing pickleball paddles. Boasting a polyhedral throat design and edgeless construction, the Metalbone line came in polymer and foam core options and had an adjustable weight system to make the series one of the most technologically advanced back then.
With AdiPower, adidas continues to leverage advanced innovation but at the same time prioritises stability, consistency, feel, and feedback. The end result is a much more stable and solid paddle, perfect for players looking for better consistency and control throughout but without sacrificing pop and power when the situation calls for them.
What’s Inside AdiPower?
The core of the AdiPower line is what’s called TriFoam Edge Reinforcement. It is an EVA foam reinforcement along each side that stabilises the paddle face, reduces vibration, and adds a solid feel under pressure. The foam protrudes inwards in three precise points—top, middle, and bottom—to amplify responsiveness and dwell time.
Other features of the AdiPower line are as follows:
- Low-Density Core (LD Polypropylene): Promotes longer dwell time for precision placement and a softer feel, while maintaining solid put-away power.
- Raw Carbon Fibre Surface: Premium raw carbon fibre creates excellent grip on the ball, generating controlled spin and confident shot shaping.
- Carbon Perimetre and Reinforced Edge Guard: Structural reinforcement boosts durability and keeps the paddle steady on counters, drives, and defensive blocks.
Three Models and a Signature
The AdiPower line comes in three models: Elongated 14mm core (16.5″ x 7.5″), Elongated 16mm core (16.5″ x 7.5″), and Widebody 16mm core (16″ x 8”). Notably, the latter two models carry the name of pickleball pro and adidas athlete Jaume Martinez Vich, who has joined the Three Stripes’ pickleball line-up of Mari Humberg, Rafa Hewett, Ava Cavataio, John Cincola, James Delgado, and the newly signed CJ Klinger.
“I wanted to partner with a company that not only equips me with the best possible gear, but also shares my vision for growing pickleball globally,” Vich told The Dink in an interview last August. “Joining the adidas Pickleball family felt like aligning with a team that’s as committed to elevating the sport as I am.”
Needless to say, Vich will be helping adidas make a stronger return to the pickleball scene with AdiPower.
