Malaysia All Set for WPC Asia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025 in July

Malaysia is ready for WPC Asia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025, to date the largest pickleball event of its kind in Southeast Asia and the first-ever Grand Slam event to be held in Asia.
Set to take place from 16 to 20 July 2025 at the top of One World Hotel in Petaling Jaya, WPC Asia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025will welcome some 1,500 topnotch picklers from over 16 different countries and transform The Pickle Grounds into ground zero of world-class pickleball action. Th tournament is also expected to draw more than 3,000 spectators to underscore Malaysia’s emerging status as a pickleball hub.
The World Pickleball Championship (WPC) was established in 2019 and has grown exponentially since then, growing with the sport that has taken the world by storm. To date, the WPC now includes over 80 events in more than 15 countries across four continents—along with over 60,000 registered players worldwide.
A Milestone Tournament for Malaysia and Asia as a Whole
Needless to say, the WPC’s entry to Asia is a milestone, and it’s no doubt a big one, offering a prize pool of RM120,000 to make it the largest pickleball tournament in the region so far. That is will be held in Malaysia is no accident either as this emerging Southeast Asian nation is now ranked among the top three countries globally in terms of number of pickleball players.
Moreover, WPC Asia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025 will be part of Pickleball Global, currently the world’s largest digital tournament platform that tracks every match and contributes to a unified global leaderboard. The world-class tournament will be the first Malaysian event to feed directly into the international ranking system, which means it will greatly enhance the visibility of local players on the world stage.
No wonder some of Asia’s top pickleball players—India’s Vanshik Kapadia and the Philippines’ Anna Clarice Patrimonio, among others—will be competing in WPC Asia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025. Malaysia’s rising stars, Colin Wong, Razlan Rawi, and Sharneem “Neem” Reyes, are also expected to bring tremendous name recall to the tournament, alongside top athletes from the US, Australia, Vietnam, and more.
WPC Asia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025 Will Be Fans’ Dream Pickleball Treat
Fans, of course, will be winners, too, as they will witness top-flight pickleball action. Aside from that, they are also in for a treat with the scheduled launch of Pickleball Boulevard, an immersive festival with pop-up social courts, brand activations, wellness showcases, and a Malaysian food and craft bazaar—all in support of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
WPC Asia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025 is officially endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia and supports the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign. This endorsement underscores Malaysia’s strong commitment to sports tourism and international wellness travel. Equally noteworthy, the World Pickleball Federation, the International Pickleball Federation, and the Malaysia Pickleball Association are all officially sanctioning the event.
