Two bustling Southeast Asian nations, Malaysia and Thailand, are all set to host two WPC events one after the other this October.
WPC: MATTA Malaysia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025
First up will be Malaysia, which will hold the MATTA Malaysia Pickleball Grand Slam on 14–16 October 2025 at Pikabol Malaysia in Kuching, Sarawak. The exact address of the venue is Lot 5415, Jalan Pending, Pending Industrial Estate, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
The MATTA Malaysia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025 is organised by the Malaysia Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA), in collaboration with Almega Management and Services, and is endorsed by the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Entrepreneur Development Sarawak; Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry & Performing Arts Sarawak; Kuching Pickleball Association, Malaysian Pickleball Association, and Sarawak Pickleball Association.
This tournament is of the Open type, with categories for Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles for adults 19 years old and over. There will also be a Mixed Masters Doubles for players 50 years old and up.
Registration for the MATTA Malaysia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025, which is open to players anywhere in the world, is still open as of press time. It will conclude on 30 September 2025.

WPC: MLAB Thailand Pickleball Championship 2025
After the curtains close on the MATTA Malaysia Pickleball Grand Slam 2025, Thailand will be taking the spotlight almost immediately as it will host the MLAB Thailand Pickleball Championship 2025 on 18–20 October 2025. The competition will take place at Rugby International School, Khao Mai Kaeo, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri.
The categories for the MLAB Thailand Pickleball Championship 2025 are as follows:
- Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles Intermediate+ – Rated for Global Pickleball Ranking (GPR).
- Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles DUPR Advanced+ – Rated for GPR.
- Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles DUPR Open – Rated for World Pickleball Championship Global Ranking, and DUPR Registration.
The tournament will primarily follow the official USA Pickleball Rulebook. However, in cases of disputes or special circumstances, the decision of the Tournament Committee shall be final.
