Malaysia’s Picklefox Envisions Big Facility as Passion for the Sport Burning Brighter Than Ever

If you’re a pickler in pickleball-crazy Malaysia, chances are you’ve heard of Picklefox. If not, you’ll probably know about them sometime soon.
A pickleball startup, Picklefox was founded in May 2024 by passionate pickleball enthusiasts led by entrepreneur and certified pickler Janet Teo. The company is on a mission to share their founders’ love for pickleball with picklers of all ages and skill levels, guided by the belief that “pickleball is more than just a sport” but “a way to have fun, stay active, and connect with others.” As such, Picklefox is “dedicated to creating a fun and approachable Pickleball ecosystem that encourages everyone to pick up a paddle and join the excitement.”
At the moment, Picklefox is a store selling pickleball equipment and merchandise, including paddles, grips, accessories, and even eyewear. It is, in particular, an official distributor of known pickleball brands like Ronbus, Proton, and Paddletek. Picklefox takes pride in curating the best products and in giving great value to customers—the pickleball community.
But Picklefox is dreaming big for the future.
Next in line for the budding startup is having a dedicated pickleball facility and retail shop in Kuala Lumpur—something Janet envisions as an ultimate pickleball destination, a one-stop shop of everything pickleball.
“It’ll be a place where players can connect, compete, and grow together. Expect coaching clinics, exclusive events, and thrilling tournaments happening regularly,” Janet shared to Vulcan Post. She also added that the planned facility will be “big and unlike anything you’ve seen before.”
With Malaysia going gaga over pickleball, this big, bold dream might just be something Malaysian picklers will welcome with open arms. This is certainly a huge deal for the growing sport of pickleball, which Janet says will be legitimised all the more once there are more world-class facilities made specifically for pickleball and pickleball alone.
“When there are world-class facilities, people take the sport seriously. That changes the perception from ‘just a trend’ to a legitimate, sustainable sport. When athletes compete professionally, it cements the sport’s legitimacy and encourages more long-term investment,” Janet explained. “I believe we are still on the brink of explosive growth and thus, we expect it to evolve rapidly over the next few years.”
Indeed, expect Picklefox to be part of that explosive growth with their lofty goals and big dreams.
