Huc Puynh Dominates Hien Truong for Second PPA Tour Asia Gold
Leading the winners on Championship Saturday was home favourite Huc Puynh, who netted gold in Men’s Singles with a 2-0 (11-1, 11-4) dismantling of compatriot Hien Truong. Puynh, who also won gold in this division in the MB Vietnam Open 2025, was in control of this gold medal match from the outset with his surgical precision, spectacular shot-making, and splendid control of the court.

Sahra Dennehy Caps Off Dream Week with Golden Moment
Australia’s Sahra Dennehy provided an encore to a spectacular week with a 2-0 (11-5, 11-7) sweep of Liz Truluck to net gold in Women’s Singles. Dennehy controlled the pace throughout the match as she denied Truluck her first PPA Tour Asia crown in a battle of first-time finalists. Earlier in the week, Dennehy beat higher seeds Danni-Elle Townsend and Roos Van Reek to get to the final.

Tyson McGuffin/Eric Oncins Get Second PPA Tour Asia Gold
The dynamic pair of Tyson McGuffin and Eric Oncins capped off a successful two weeks on foreign soil with another gold, buckling a one-game deficit to beat the determined duo of Armaan Bhatia and Zane Navratil, 2-1 (5-11, 11-9, 11-0). Bhatia/Navratil looked headed for another upset after beating the highly favoured tandem of Ben Johns and Deker Bar in the semis after their opening game win. But McGuffin/Oncins found their groove in the second game and were on cruise control in the decider.

Kaitlyn Christian/Chao Yi Wang Earn Second PPA Tour Asia Gold
Like Oncins/McGuffin, the pair of Kaitlyn Christian and Chao Yi Wang also added the MB Vietnam Cup 2025 gold to their résumé after winning the crown in this same category at the Panas Malaysia Cup 2025. This time around, Christian/Wang bested Ting Chieh Wei and Alix Truong, 2-0 (11-8, 11-8), as they showed off their undeniable chemistry and impressive court control, never letting Wei/Truong gain any momentum.

Truong Time as Alix, Jonathan Win Gold
There was no stopping the Truong siblings this time as Alix and Jonathan broke through with a 2-0 (11-1, 11-6) dismantling of Wang and McGuffin to win gold in Mixed Doubles. Fierce as ever, the fire-and-ice sibling combo delivered the goods, and with Vietnamese heritage, they had the crowd in their corner for the trip to the top. Sky-lobs had the fans holding their breath as Jonathan’s touch combined with Alix’s power to create an unstoppable force. The Truongs left no doubt this time around, taking out the title to the roar of the fans.
