Penang Pickleball Association Launches Exchange Tour Tournament 2025
The Penang Pickleball Association is proud to announce that it will be holding the Penang Pickleball Exchange Tour Tournament 2025 in June with sponsorships from Triple Ace and the AFA Community. The competition is also being supported by the Malaysia Pickleball Association, KBS, and Jabatan Belia dan Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang.
The tournament will feature team play, with each team to be composed of 10–12 players competing in men’s doubles (two pairs), women’s doubles (one pair), and mixed doubles (two pairs). Matches will be played at Pickleland Penang from 27 to 30 June 2025.
A minimum of 16 teams is being targeted for the competition, with a maximum of 24 teams to be accommodated if necessary. In case of the latter, the champion will receive RM5,000, while the first and second runners-up will get RM3,000 and RM2,000, respectively. Should the teams reach 24, the prizes will be adjusted accordingly, with the champion earning RM8,000 and the first and second runners-up winning RM5,000 and RM3,000, respectively.
Registration fee for the Penang Pickleball Exchange Tour Tournament 2025 is RM 2,500per team—RM1,200 for the competition entry and RM1,300 for the special closing dinner. The total fee is inclusive of a free tournament jersey, sling bag full of goodies, a door gift, and a lunch pack for two event days.
All players must be at least 18 years old and will be asked to read and sign the Indemnity Waiver included in the entry forms of the tournament. Players of each team must also come from the same state. The teams will be grouped accordingly, with the groupings to be determined using draw lots. The tournament will implement a single-round robin in the eliminations, followed by a knockout format in the semis and finals.
