The Picklr Surpasses 50 Open Locations, Cements Status as Fastest Growing Pickleball Franchise

The Picklr, the fastest-growing indoor pickleball franchise in North America, is celebrating the opening of its 50th location with a new club in Littleton, Colorado. This milestone not only expands access to America’s fastest-growing sport, but also places The Picklr in an elite category of franchise systems: Fewer than half ever reach 50 operating units, ultimately proving the scalability of its franchise model while fuelling the nationwide pickleball movement.
“The opening of our 50th club is more than just a ribbon-cutting event, it’s proof of concept at scale. Most franchise systems never reach this stage. Reaching 50 locations this quickly underscores both the strength of our business model and the passion fuelling the pickleball movement nationwide,” said Jorge Barragan, CEO and Co-Founder of The Picklr. “Our growth is driven by two core factors: strong unit economics, and passionate franchise partners. This isn’t just a lifestyle brand, it’s a scalable business model built for long-term success. Our Littleton location is the latest proof point, but it’s only the beginning for The Picklr.”
From a business perspective, The Picklr’s growth reflects strong franchise momentum. Only 11% of franchise brands ever operate between 25–50 units, and fewer than 20% exceed 100 units. The Picklr’s trajectory not only surpasses industry benchmarks, but also positions the brand among the fastest-emerging systems in franchising.
The Picklr Littleton will feature 12 oversized, fully fenced, state-of-the-art indoor courts, all offering our patent-pending, high-quality, outdoor-style court surfacing, full pro shop, warm-up/mobility space, as well as two private event spaces. For Colorado’s growing pickleball community, it represents a new hub for competition, connection, and social play.
“Opening the 50th Picklr is a dream realised for me as an entrepreneur, and a huge milestone for the brand. I’ve been very intentional about building my team at The Picklr Littleton, and I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve created together,” said Jennifer Winder, Owner of The Picklr Littleton. “Partnering with The Picklr has been the best decision I could have made. When considering the other options available, The Picklr was an absolute no-brainer. I’m proud not only to be part of this amazing brand, but also to carry the honour of opening the 50th location, and celebrating this milestone together.”
With an accelerated development pipeline, The Picklr plans to open 20+ additional clubs later this year, and another 300 over the coming years, continuing its mission to bring world-class pickleball experiences to more communities across the globe.
Of course, it should also be noted that The Picklr isn’t just expanding in the US. Just this year alone, the company already announced plans to expand to Australia and New Zealand and also to Japan as it looks to add to its global pickleball footprint. The Picklr’s expansion plan to Japan is especially noteworthy as CEO Jorge Barragan is looking to tap on the emerging Asian pickleball market to grow both The Picklr brand and the sport itself.
