Vietnamese Shoppers Spend Around USD $20M on Pickleball Gear in First Half of 2025

Pickleball is growing exponentially in Vietnam—and all the signs are there.
Courts are being opened, clubs are being launched, and tournaments are being organised in the country. It’s even set to host the MB Vietnam Open, bringing in world-class competition in the home of pickleball sensation Quang Duong.
Indeed, pickleball is on the rise in Vietnam, and Vietnamese players are consuming the sport like never before. Proof of this is that sales of pickleball-related products—paddles, balls, and other equipment, in particular—are increasing meteorically on e-commerce platforms.
Pickleball Stuff Selling Big in Vietnam
Per collated data from Metric.vn, total sales of pickleball equipment in Vietnam reached almost VNĐ511 billion (USD $20 million) in just the first half of 2025. That’s a staggering 13-fold increase from the same period in 2024 and nearly double the full-year revenue of last year, which totalled only VNĐ272 billion (USD $10 million).
In the first quarter of 2025 alone, sales of pickleball-related items in Vietnam reached VNĐ229 billion in revenue (USD $9.5 million)—or nearly 19 times higher than in Q1 2024. In all, around 2.4 million pickleball products were sold across e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and Tiki in just six months. This figure is certainly indicative of pickleball’s growing and sustained appeal among Vietnamese consumers.
Metric.vn further noted that the majority of buyers preferred products priced below VNĐ1 million (USD $38). The VNĐ500,000–750,000 (USD$19–28) price segment accounted for the largest share, generating VNĐ75 billion (USD $285,900) in total sales. It was followed by the VNĐ200,000–350,000 (USD$7.6–13.4) price segment with over VNĐ60 billion (USD $2.9 million) and the VNĐ350,000–500,000 price range (USD $13.35–19).
Vietnamese Pickleball Players Investing in Core Gear
The best-selling items, according to Metric.vn, are pickleball paddles and training shoes, possibly hinting that more players are willing to invest in core gear as they become more serious about the sport.
Furthermore, according to Metric.vn, the average selling price has not changed significantly compared to the previous year. This indicates that the reported revenue growth is being driven primarily by an expanding customer base more than anything. Moreover, pickleball has evolved beyond being just a sport as it is now associated with an active and modern lifestyle. This, in turn, is likely fuelling market expansion even more.
With the sport growing unabated in Vietnam, expect sales to skyrocket even more in the coming months and years.
