Vietnam’s Quang Duong Set to Visit Malaysia, Promises to Give Away Free Paddles

Quang Duong is a well-travelled young man.
While the Vietnamese pickleball sensation has made the US his home since he competes as a pro at the PPA Tour, he has also travelled to other countries to play in tournaments, to promote the sport, and perhaps to just chill out and soak in the sights and sounds of other nations (and maybe meet his no doubt hordes of fans).
Now, it looks like he’s making a beeline for Southeast Asia again with a scheduled visit to Malaysia.
The 19-year-old pickleball pro announced his upcoming visit to Malaysia in his official Facebook page, where he also promised to give away free paddles for fans who follow his Instagram account, @avatar_ball_bender.
“Give away give away give away,” Quang wrote in his post. “Good morning Malaysia. I am coming to Kuala Lumpur on April 10th–15th. I will announce paddles give away as well as my personal paddles next few weeks. This gives away only for Malaysia. The winners [will be] announced on April 6th. The only requirement is to follow this Instagram account: https://www.instagram.com/avatar_ball_bender/.”
“I will announce the number of prize give away and paddle brands next week. Winners can pick up your paddles at @9pickle_ or will ship to your Malaysian address. Good luck,” Quang added.
Quang is among Asia’s biggest names in the world’s fastest-rising sport. He’s also among the best the continent has so far produced, and his achievements have no doubt help pickleball’s provide in this part of the world.
Malaysia, meanwhile, is becoming a hub for pickleball in the Southeast Asian region. In fact, it’s probably the most pickleball-crazy country in this part of Asia—with Quang’s Vietnam likely a close second.
Needless to say, it only makes sense for one of Asia’s top pickleball names—Quang Duong—to pay a visit to one of the continent’s most pickleball-crazy places that is Malaysia. .
