World-Class Pickleball Returns to South Korea in June with 2025 WPC Korea

South Korea is set to hold another high-profile, prestigious pickleball tournament: the 2025 WPC Korea.

The 2025 WPC Korea is part of the esteemed World Pickleball Championship (WPC) Series and is set to take place from 5 to 8 June 2025, at the Seogwipo Tennis Center in Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do, South Korea. A Tier Level 3 tournament organised by Pickleball Global, the 2025 WPC Korea promises to attract top pickleball talent from around the globe and provide participants the opportunity to compete in a world-class setting while earning valuable Global Pickleball Ranking (GPR) points.

The WPC Series has a rich history of hosting premier pickleball events worldwide. Since its inception with the inaugural $100,000 prize money tournament in Punta Gorda, Florida, in December 2019, the series has expanded to include competitions across Asia, Europe, and Australia. Notable past events include the Asia Pickleball Open in Phuket, Thailand, and the European Pickleball Open in Rota, Spain.

In 2024, Korea hosted its first WPC event in Andong, drawing approximately 500 players, including 150 international participants. The tournament featured men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles matches across various age groups, highlighting the sport’s growing popularity in the region.

The upcoming 2025 WPC Korea in Seogwipo-si continues this tradition, offering players of all ages and skill levels the chance to compete and showcase their abilities.

Registration is currently open until 24 May 2025 with an entry fee of USD $60.
