WPBL Partners with India’s FanCode for Live Streaming, On-Demand Coverage

The World Pickleball League (WPBL), set to make its debut in India in a few days, is growing to be a mammoth showcase of the sport.
Supported by Global Sports and to be played at Mumbai’s iconic Brabourne Stadium Cricket Club of India, the WPBL also has prominent celebrities and enterprises throwing their full backing into India’s first franchise-based pickleball league. Now, it has gotten FanCode on board as well.
FanCode is India’s leading sports streaming platform, and it has obtained the media rights to livestream the WPBL’s matches. This agreement between the league and FanCode is further proof of the latter’s commitment to providing its users different sporting events. It also proves the platform’s dedication to helping grow pickleball in India.
“Pickleball is rapidly gaining popularity in India, with an increasing number of enthusiasts embracing the sport. The World Pickleball League is set to captivate fans, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with them to bring the excitement of pickleball to sports fans nationwide,” said Yannick Colaco, Co-Founder of FanCode.
Further evidence of pickleball’s growing popularity in India is the WPBL’s star-studded roster of franchise owners:
- Chennai Super Champs – Owned by Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
- Bengaluru Jawans – Co-owned by filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya Atlee.
- Pune United – Co-owned by Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh and several prominent corporate executives
- Team Mumbai – Owned by Swiggy.

“FanCode’s rapid rise as one of the favorite sporting destinations for fans across the country provides us with an excellent platform to live stream all the games from the World Pickleball League,” said Gaurav Natekar, Co-Founder and CEO of WPBL, about the league’s collaboration with the streaming service. “FanCode has become a go-to source for everything related to sports, and by streaming the World Pickleball League, we aim to make the sport a household name. We are proud to collaborate with a team that shares our passion for the sport and look forward to kicking off the league with great excitement.”
