Quang Duong Auctions Paddle at ‘Glow Pickleball Charity Night’ in Vietnam, Fetches 56M VND
Quang Duong has largely been out of the limelight for the past couple of months—until this weekend. And the Vietnamese pickleball sensation made sure he’d be in the news this time for all the right reasons.
On 25 October 2025, Duong took part in the “Glow Pickleball Charity Night” of the VTV AO Smith Pickleball Open 2025, which took place in Hanoi, Vietnam. The highlight of the night, of course, involved Quang Duong, who auctioned off a pickleball paddle that he used in one of his PPA Tour tournaments in the US.
Duong’s paddle fetched a whopping 56 million VND, with the winner being none other than Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 second runner-up Vu Thuy Quynh. In total, the charity raised 188.5 million VND for the “Heart for Children” Fund of Vietnam Television as fans, athletes, and other benefactors gave donations as well.
“All proceeds from the auction will be transferred to the Tam Long Viet Fund – Heart for Children programme, contributing to bringing life opportunities to children with congenital heart disease in difficult circumstances,” said the organising committee representative.

“Heart for Children” is a humanitarian programme initiated by VTV in 2008. It supports free surgery for thousands of children with congenital heart disease.
The VTV AO Smith Pickleball Open 2025, on the other hand, combined sports with charity and underscored the growing role of Vietnamese sports in community-building. The said tournament attracted many of Vietnam’s top players, including the Duong brothers, Truong Vinh Hien, and Ngoc Trieu, as well as celebrities such as Miss Vietnam Nguyen Thi Huyen and actor Chi Nhan.
