Vietnam’s Quang Duong is staying local with his next sponsorship deal after signing with Vietnamese brand Wika Pickleball.
Wika, an upstart brand based in Vietnam, announced the signing over the weekend on its official social media channels.
“A new burst of momentum begins in 2026! Wika and Quang Duong officially open the next chapter in their professional pickleball journey—where pioneering milestones are set to be unveiled,” Wika Pickleball said in a statement on social media. “This marks Wika’s strong commitment to sustainable development and long-term partnership with Vietnamese pickleball, while affirming its confidence in a new generation of Vietnamese athletes ready to conquer the international stage with talent and breakthrough technologies.”
Quang Duong Stays Local
With the Wika signing, Quang Duong has effectively stayed true to his roots by choosing a Vietnamese brand. The young superstar formerly had a sponsorship deal with Sypik last year that ultimately paved the way for the release of the Sypik Avatar Collection—a series of paddles backed by the artist known as Avatar.
Sypik, itself a Vietnam-based pickleball start-up like Wika, recently honoured the DUPR’s top-ranked male player in Asia with a heartfelt message signalling the end of their partnership, with the brand calling its collaboration with the soon-to-turn-20 pickleball superstar “an honour.”
All the while, Wika Pickleball was already teasing Quang Duong’s impending signing, and it was made official weeks later. Now, it appears that Wika is all set to roll out a signature Quang Duong collection to mark “the rise of a Vietnamese generation ready to push limits and lead the way.”
This new Quang Duong line is called “Wika QD,” and Wika Pickleball describes it as being “fuelled by relentless movement on court and breakthrough technology debuting for the first time.”
From the looks of it, Wika Pickleball is staking its brand on Quang Duong. Whether it pays off remains to be seen.
