Selangor Hosts Paramount Cup 2025, Opens First-of-Its-Kind Purpose-Built Pickleball Hub
Selangor in Malaysia is fast becoming a pickleball epicentre, and over the past four days, it witnessed not only a top-level tournament in the Paramount Cup 2025, but also the opening of the world-class Playa Racquet Club @ PARC Subang.
Paramount Cup 2025: Elite-Level Action, Topnotch Thrills
The Paramount Cup 2025 gathered some 700 players and hundreds of fans to Selangor over the past few days, and the former delivered the kind of action the latter expected. The tournament, which offered a whopping RM112,500 prize pool, showcased top-level athleticism, skill, and sportsmanship over 17 categories for novice, pro, and senior players.
Notably, the Paramount Cup 2025 drew some international flavour, with pickleball’s top names like India’s Vanshik Kapadia; Australia’s Kyle Stoker, Nancy Riley, and Josh Chia; the US’ Roman Estareja and Jas Almaguer; Taiwan’s Hsieh Yu-Chieh; Thailand’s Tarie Caouette; and Korea’s Mihae Kwon all descending on Selangor for this tournament.

Selangor Opens Playa Racquet Club @ PARC Subang
The Paramount Cup 2025 fittingly opened the Playa Racquet Club @ PARC Subang, which is notably Malaysia’s first purpose-built pickleball hub with international-level facilities. Those facilities served as the fitting venue for a most world-class tournament with topnotch players.
The Open categories showcased world-class pickleball right here on Malaysian soil, and our local players proved they belong on that stage… Playa was designed to bring sport and lifestyle together, and this tournament showed just how powerful that combination can be.
