PCL Asia Kicks Off 2025 Asian Semi-Professional Pickleball Championship to Be Held in Vietnam

Pickleball Champions League Asia (PCL Asia), an Asian-based competition platform for pickleball that is currently running tournaments in seven countries in Asia, will be hosting the 2025 Asian Semi-Professional Pickleball Championship (PCL Asia 2025) in Vietnam.

PCL Asia envisions to transform pickleball in the continent and connect countries and territories through a shared passion for the world’s fastest-rising sport. It hopes to revolutionise pickleball across the continent as the premier competitive platform for this rapidly growing sport. It also aims to unite top amateur club teams from various nations in a structured and high-visibility competition. PCL Asia will bring together nations and communities through a shared love of pickleball, significantly raising the sport’s profile and establishing Asia as a key player in the global pickleball landscape.

The 2025 Asian Semi-Professional Pickleball Championship, in particular, to be held in Hanoi, Da Dang, and Ho Chi Minh City from 7 to 28 June 2025, is seen as an important milestone for pickleball in Vietnam, which is considered among the sport’s hotbeds in Asia along with Malaysia, India, and the Philippines.

SP3 Helps Organise 2025 Asian Semi-Professional Pickleball Championship

The 2025 Asian Semi-Professional Pickleball Championship is organised by PCL Asia and its official partner in Vietnam, SP3, a Vietnamese organisation focused on building and connecting communities through sports activities. The name “SP3” stands for sports and the organisation’s three core values: Partnership, Competition Platforms, and Community Projects.

With a commitment to engaging people, having fun and providing professionalism, SP3 is leading this new initiative to grow the pickleball community across Vietnam. The tournament opens up opportunities for local clubs, teams and court operators to compete at a national level, with the ultimate goal of representing Vietnam in the Asian arena.

The 2025 Asian Semi-Professional Pickleball Championship will last for four weeks, with the champion of each group qualifying for the PCL – Vietnam finals set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on 12–13 July 2025. After that, the Asian finals will take place on 9–10 August 2025 in Shenzhen, China.
