Sansan Fukuoka Open 2025 Lineup Brings Pickleball Heat to Japan

Pickleball is bringing the heat this summer with the Pro lineup for the Sansan Fukuoka Open 2025. Japan has attracted some big names to its shores, with not only regional talent but global stars ready to hit up the PPA Tour Asia courts.

On the men’s front, both players and fans alike will have their eyes on Connor Garnett. The no. 3 ranked PPA Tour singles star is headed to Fukuoka on a Host Wildcard and comes in as top seed. With two singles gold medals to his name in the US, Garnett is ready to make his mark on Asian pickleball.
Joining him from the USA is Tyler Loong. Sitting at no. 20 in the PPA Tour Men’s Doubles rankings, Long and Garnett will be teaming up in Japan and come in heavy favourites for the gold medal.

The star power from the US doesn’t stop there as Allyce Jones is also in the lineup. The no. 8 Women’s Doubles player from the PPA Tour will bring the entertainment factor to the kitchen line. Itoshima City Sports Park will be sure to light up as Jones partners Connor Garnett and Pei Chuan Kao in the Mixed and Women’s Doubles.

But the local talent will put up a fight for the podium. A Local Wildcard in the Mixed Doubles is headed the way of Daniel Moore and Kei Sawaki. The combination of experience and youth in the Japanese team-up will be one to keep an eye on. The combination of Japanese star Kenta Miyoshi and Vietnam’s Sophia Tran will also be on the watchlist, with the duo taking a PPA Wildcard.

Nasa Hatakeyama and Mayu Ito also pick up a wildcard in to their respective singles events and will aim to capitalise on local fans and homegrown advantage for a deep run.
