‘I Felt the Love’: Christian Alshon Thanks Malaysia, Hints at Future Return

PPA Tour superstar Christian Alshon was among the star of stars at the Panas Malaysia Cup 2025, which concluded with a bang over the weekend. When the dust settled, Alshon was one of the big winners, coming away with gold in the Men’s Singles and silver in both Men’s Doubles (with Ben Johns) and Mixed Doubles (with Kaitlyn Christian).
And, judging by Alshon’s effervescent smile and hearty interactions with fans and foes alike, it sure seemed like the American pro had a great, grand time in his first foray in Malaysia. On Tuesday morning, Alshon confirmed it with a tweet, where he acknowledged the love he felt throughout the tournament.
“Leaving Malaysia with (gold medal emoji) (two silver medal emojis). Not a bad week at the international office,” Alshon wrote on his X account. I felt the love all tournament.
Alshon then thanked Malaysia and hinted of a comeback in the future.
“Thank you Malaysia, we will return, Alshon added in his tweet. “Stay tuned for a photo dump of the week.”
In case Alshon does return, he can most definitely expect to feel that same love and warmth that he felt in his nearly one-week stay in Malaysia. And that’s a testament to the country’s growing pickleball community for sure.
