First-Ever Pilipinas Pickleball Intercollegiate Championship Set to Unfurl Over the Weekend
The Pilipinas Pickleball Intercollegiate Championship of the Pickleball Intercollegiate League Pilipinas is set to unfurl on 15 November 2025 at the Quantum Clubhouse on Concha Cruz Drive, Alabang-Zapote Road, Las Piñas City.
Seven schools will make up the pioneer cast of this tournament, which is the first intercollegiate pickleball competition of its kind in the Philippines. These schools are:
- University of Santo Tomas (UST)
- Mapua University
- National University (NU)
- University of the Philippines (UP)
- De La Salle University (DLSU)
- Lyceum University
- College of Saint Benilde (CSB)
The first-ever Pilipinas Pickleball Intercollegiate Championship will feature Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, and will follow the official rules of the USA Pickleball Association. The tournament format will be round-robin, with teams divided into pools. A single-elimination knockout stage will then follow to determine the inaugural champion and podium finishers.
The Pilipinas Pickleball Intercollegiate Championship is organised by the Pickleball Intercollegiate League Pilipinas and Metapixel Incorporated. The tournament’s official presenter is Smart, with Toby’s Sports as its co-presenter. Quantum Clubhouse and Huddl. are the venue and ball sponsors, respectively, while Antbox is the official partner apparel. Helping out as well in staging this first-of-its-kind competition is Cignal, the event’s Gold Sponsor.
