Indian Picklers Take Home 14 Medals in Impressive Showing at Asia Pickleball Games 2024

Picklers from the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) excelled in the Asia Pickleball Games 2024, winning 14 medals in all in the event organised by the Asia Federation of Pickleball and the Chinese Taipei Pickleball Association.
Nitten Kirttane and Vanshik Kapadia led India’s medal haul with double-gold finishes—50+ Open Men’s Singles and 50+ Open Men’s Doubles (with Sandeep Tawde) for Kirttane and 19+ Open Men’s Doubles (with Tejas Mahajan) and 19+ Open Mixed Doubles (with Vrushali Thakare).
Other medal winners for India were Vishal Jadhav (silver, 35+ Open Men’s Singles), Tawde (silver, 50+ Men’s Singles 4.0 Category), Khushi Sachdeva (silver, 19+ Women’s Singles 4.0 Category), Shraddha Damani (35+ Women’s Singles 4.0 Category), and the pair of Vishal Jadhav and Isha Lakhani (gold, 35+ Open Mixed Doubles).
Thakare, Damani, Tawde, Chetan Sanil, and Johann Fernandes all secured bronze medals as well.
In all, India’s contingent won five gold, four silver, and five bronze medals in the Asia Pickleball Games 2024, where picklers from Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, China, Indonesia, South Korea, and Malaysia all competed as well.
