Harsh Mehta to Captain India’s Pro Squad at Pickleball World Cup 2026

India has unveiled its official Pro category contingent for the Pickleball World Cup 2026, with Harsh Mehta named captain of a squad brimming with talent and ambition. The tournament will be staged in Da Nang, Vietnam, from 30 August to 6 September, and the Indian Pickleball Association believes this team has the depth and hunger to challenge for the top prize.

Harsh Mehta’s leadership anchors a line-up that blends experience with rising stars. Joining him are Arjun Singh, who will also captain India’s U/18 side, alongside Anish Frolian and Aman Patel in the men’s category. On the women’s side, Mihika Yadav, Aaliyah Ebrahim, Pearl Amalsadiwala, and Naomi Amalsadiwala complete the roster.

The Amalsadiwala sisters have been dominant on the domestic circuit, consistently reaching podiums in both women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Naomi Amalsadiwala, in particular, enters the World Cup as a contender in mixed doubles with Arjun Singh, having recently toppled world-class pairings such as Richard Livornese and Megan Fudge, as well as Quang Duong and Shelby Bates—teams ranked among the world’s top three.

Suryaveer Singh Bhullar, President of the Indian Pickleball Association, described the squad as the pinnacle of Indian pickleball, stressing that the team is not travelling to Vietnam merely to compete but to conquer. He highlighted the synergy and determination within the group, calling it a world-class line-up capable of bringing the trophy home.

Harsh Mehta echoed that sentiment, noting that while talent wins matches, unity wins championships. He expressed gratitude for the captaincy and promised to give his absolute best, confident that the squad will go far in the competition.

The team enters the World Cup backed by Lucknow Leopards, Athletiq, Picklebay, and Electrorush, carrying renewed ambition after securing a bronze medal in the previous edition. To sharpen their edge, the athletes will undergo a structured high-performance programme, including intensive training camps focused on technical skills, conditioning, mental resilience, and nutrition.
