Anna Leigh Waters Set to Make International Debut as She Joins MB Hanoi Cup

The queen of pickleball, the GOAT herself, Anna Leigh Waters, is finally coming to Asia!

The PPA Tour Asia announced on Wednesday that Waters, the winningest, most dominant player in all of pickleball, will be coming to Asia and joining the MB Hanoi Cup in Vietnam. The tournament is the PPA Tour Asia’s maiden one for this season, and it is shaping up to be the tour’s most star-studded competition—especially with the entry of ALW.

“Making my international debut in Vietnam is one of the highlights of my career,” said Anna Leigh Waters in a statement. “I’ve experienced the sport’s growth in the US, and I am honoured to be part of the first PPA Tour Asia event in Hanoi. To be able to compete and then share the sport I love through exhibitions and clinics in Ho Chi Minh City with Franklin Sports is an incredible opportunity to help grow the game on a world stage.”

Waters is ranked No. 1 on the Carvana PPA Tour in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. She has won over 190 gold medals and is the certified triple-crown queen, with clean sweeps at 41 PPA Tour stops and counting. At the MB Hanoi Cup, Anna Leigh Waters will be competing in women’s doubles alongside Anna Bright and in mixed doubles with Ben Johns.

Following the tournament, the American will travel to Ho Chi Minh City on April 6–7 to host clinics and a showcase event in partnership with equipment manufacturer Franklin Sports.

The MB Hanoi Cup is scheduled to take place from 1 to 5 April 2026 at the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Arena. It will award 1,000 ranking points to champions as part of the Professional Pickleball Association’s global ranking system.
