JOOLA Relaunches ‘OG’ Hyperion CFS—Paddle That Launched a Dynasty
Global pickleball brand JOOLA has reintroduced the famed Hyperion CFS—but with a refreshed look, updated graphics, and cleaner, more modern colourways.
Released in 2022, the Hyperion CFS was JOOLA’s first true performance paddle, as well as the start of what has been a fruitful collaboration with pickleball GOAT Ben Johns. Along with the Perseus models, the Hyperion CFS pushed JOOLA as one of the top, if not the very top, pickleball brands in the world, as it combined clean, sleek looks, and on-point design and engineering.
The first Hyperion CFS was developed from wanting a paddle with spin, stability, and feel in one build. We tested different faces, core builds, and shapes through a long prototype cycle until we reached this final design, which then became my very first signature paddle with JOOLA.

- A carbon-fibre perimeter, helping with stability and long-term feel.
- Foam-injected edges, increasing forgiveness and the size of the sweet spot.
- Balanced all-court performance, making the paddle versatile rather than specialised.
In its heyday, the Hyperion CFS was an excellent option as one of JOOLA’s PRO-level paddles for those ready to invest in their game and start crafting their play style.
