The Bigger Picture
The Leapmotor APP Kuala Lumpur Open 2026 represents more than a single stop on the calendar. It marks the official kick-off of the 2026 Global Pickleball Alliance Tour, with the APP Tour playing a central role in bringing top-level professional pickleball to new regions around the world.
As the first APP Tour event ever held in Asia, Kuala Lumpur becomes the opening chapter of APP’s broader expansion across the continent. For the players, this means new environments, new audiences, and unfamiliar conditions. For the sport, it signals a shift towards a truly global competitive footprint.
