PPA Tour Asia Adjusts Schedule of Kuala Lumpur Open 2026, Starts Registration for Second Leg
(Note: A previous version of this post mistakenly put the comeptition date as 13 to 17 April 2026. The competition proper will actually take place from 13 to 17 May 2026. My Apologies for the oversight and the confusion. – Martin)
When the PPA Tour Asia announced the first three legs of its 2026 season, two locations stood out right away: Vietnam and Malaysia. It should not be surprising, really, given the success the PPA Tour Asia has had in both countries each time it has brought high-stakes, high-level pickleball to both nations.

Kicking off this season will be the MB Hanoi Cup in Vietnam, which will take place from 1 to 5 April 2026. Next up will be the Kuala Lumpur Open, which was originally scheduled for 14–17 May 2026 but has since been adjusted. Now, the Malaysian leg will take place from 13 to 17 May 2026.
The Kuala Lumpur Open 2026 will take place at Pickle in Setia Alam, right where the tour launched last year. It marks the first chance for pros and amateurs alike to claim the Open-tier medal as they chase the dragon around Asia. Players looking to complete the full set across all three tiers will want this one on their calendar.
Malaysia, of course, helped deliver PPA Tour Asia’s first gold medals, with the iconic Championship Court setting the tone for the season. Now it is ready to bring the heat again in 2026, with USD $50,000 in Pro prize money on the line, along with valuable PPA ranking points.
Registration for the Kuala Lumpur Open 2026 is now open. Players have until 6 April 2026 to lock in their spots for the PPA Asia 500 stop.
