Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) is back—and so is pro pickleball in Ho Chi Minh City.
MB has returned as title sponsor of the PPA Asia 500 Ho Chi Minh City Open 2026, with the tournament set to run from 6 to 9 August at Global City—the same venue that hosted the landmark MB Vietnam Open in 2025. Registrations are now open across both professional and amateur categories.
MB Ho Chi Minh City Open: Partnership Built on More Than Sponsorship
This marks the fourth time MB has partnered with PPA Tour Asia, cementing what has become one of the most consistent commercial relationships on the regional circuit. The partnership most recently produced the MB Hanoi Cup in April, and its return to Ho Chi Minh City underlines a long-term commitment to pickleball’s growth in Vietnam rather than a one-off tournament play.
MB chief marketing officer Nguyen Thi Viet Nga framed the partnership in those terms directly.
“MB’s continued role as title sponsor of the PPA Asia 500 Ho Chi Minh City Open 2026 is more than the extension of a sponsorship,” she said. “It reaffirms our long-term commitment to bringing world-class sports experiences closer to Vietnamese audiences and to accompanying PPA Tour Asia in the growth journey of the most emerging sport—pickleball in Vietnam.”
She added that MB’s involvement is rooted in a broader philosophy about what prosperity looks like. “We believe true prosperity is not measured only by financial success, but also by the quality of people’s experiences, health motivations and meaningful moments in life.”

Registrations are live across the full range of categories—professional players chasing PPA ranking points and amateurs stepping onto the tournament stage for the first time are both catered for. The draw structure covers multiple divisions and age groups, giving the Ho Chi Minh City Open the breadth to function as both an elite competitive showcase and a genuine community event.
With Vietnam’s pickleball scene continuing to grow—anchored by world-class local talent including DUPR Asian No. 1 Ly Hoang Nam, Phuc Huynh, and a national team preparing for the Pickleball World Cup on home soil in Da Nang in August—the appetite for a tournament of this calibre in the country’s southern hub is real and growing.
