‘World-Class Support’: Skechers Teams Up With MPPT to Provide Topnotch Backing to Upstart League
Manny Pacquiao’s Maharlika Pilipinas Pickleball Tour (MPPT) will have the backing of global brand Skechers for its inaugural season after the two sealed a high-profile partnership.
The MPPT and Skechers formalised their team-up during the official partnership signing on Monday at The Velaris Residences Show Gallery in Quezon City. The professional league then announced the development on its social media pages, also on Monday.
“The MPPT is pleased to welcome Skechers as its official footwear partner, bringing together comfort, performance, and style as the Maharlika Pilipinas Pickleball Tour takes the sport to new heights,” the MPPT wrote on social media. “The game is on. Let’s move. Comfort that Performs.”
For Skechers Philippines country manager Suzette Pasustento, partnering with the MPPT is the brand’s way to provide pickleball in the Philippines the world-class support it deserves as it continues to grow at meteoric rates.
“For us at Skechers, this partnership is rooted in a shared purpose that pickleball deserves world-class support and that together we can make that a reality,” Pasustento said during the official partnership signing.
This is not the first time Skechers has offered its support to pickleball in the Philippines. In 2025, the global athleisure brand became the official footwear of the Philippine Pickleball Federation (PPF). Then, in March of this year, Skechers held the first-ever Skechers Pickleball First Philippine Pickleball Amateur Nationals with the help of the PPF. Skechers also served as the official footwear partner of the Philippine delegation to the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 held in Da Nang, Vietnam, from 30 August to 6 September.
Pacquiao’s professional league unfurls on 3–4 October 2026 with the MPPT Invitational to be held in Angeles City, Pampanga. The second leg is scheduled on 17–18 October 2026 at the Tagaytay City Velodrome. The matches will be broadcast by the MPPT’s official broadcast partner, Solar Sports.
