002 Pickleball Club & Academy Donates Pickleball Equipment to Schools in Perak to Grow Sport Even More
Ipoh-based 002 Pickleball Club & Academy stayed true to its vision of spreading love, share, and care while promoting the sport of pickleball as it distributed pickleball equipment to selected schools in the state of Perak in Malaysia, with the help of Selkirk Sport.
The formal turnover of equipment took place on 14 November 2025 at the AC Hotel by Marriott in the city of Ipoh. The ceremony was presided over by the Perak State Education Department, represented by Director of Education Tuan Zulkafli bin Mohamed Mokhta.
“When we were approached by Puan Linda of the State Education Department of Perak to promote pickleball to the schools, we did not hesitate to do it, and we were told there would not be any monetary benefits, and we may likely incur a lot of time and money to do it, including getting equipment for the schools in Perak,” said the 002 Pickleball Club & Academy on its official Facebook page. “But this is what we have set up 002 for: to serve the pickleball community of Ipoh, Perak, and all of Malaysia. After seven months of talking to many people in the pickleball scene, we found our breakthrough with Selkirk, who sponsored our school programme with 120 paddles and 200 balls. We are grateful for the trust that the Perak State Education Department had in us.”
A total of 15 schools in the state of Perak benefitted from 002 Pickleball Club & Academy’s efforts, and each institution was represented in the ceremony by a teacher and two students.
