IPA Announces Busy Summer Slate of Pickleball Tournaments in India

Players of all skill levels in India can expect a packed summer full of tournaments thanks to the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA).

The IPA, the newly minted national sports federation (NSF) of pickleball in India, has announced several tournaments lined up for the next several months—with competitions for amateurs, seasoned pros, and picklers in between those levels. These IPA-sanctioned tournaments are meant to provide Indian pickleball players platforms to compete, foster the sport’s community aspect, and fuel its meteoric growth even more in India.

Here are the tournaments the IPA has organised for summertime in India, along with their dates and venues:

  • PWR 100 – RAPA: 24th and 25th May 2025 (Vasant Vihar Club, New Delhi)
  • PWR 100 – Bharat Pickleball Tournament: 24th and 25th May 2025 (Bharat Tennis Academy Club, Bijwasan – Palam Vihar Rd, New Delhi)
  • PWR 200 – The Pickle-Padel Cleanse: 7th and 8th June 2025 (REPPP, Mehrauli, New Delhi)
  • PWR 50 – Ready Set Pickle Tournament 3.0: 7th and 8th June 2025 (Ready Set Pickle, Hyderabad)
  • PWR 200 – Pro Indian Masters Open: 10th to 15th June 2025 (Miko Pickleball in Santhome, Chennai)

The IPA was recently recognised by India’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) as the NSF of pickleball in India, and it hit the ground running with a milestone meeting a couple of weeks ago. Its slate of tournaments for the summer underscores the association’s commitment to growing the sport in India and is in line with its tasks of regulating, advancing, and developing pickleball throughout the country.

However, the IPA’s status as the NSF of pickleball in India is still facing stiff opposition from the All India Pickleball Association, which took its case to the Delhi High Court. The court, in response, has directed the MYAS to submit all pertinent documents related to the IPA’s surprise recognition. It is yet unclear how this court case will affect the IPA’s scheduled tournaments; at the moment, however, they are still all systems go.
