Kicks – The Pickle Exchange Brings Great Courts, Good Food to Johor Bahru

The city of Johor Bahru in Malaysia is also in on the pickleball craze, and it even has a new go-to-spot for anyone who fancies some pickleball: Kicks – The Pickle Exchange. Put simply, it’s where exciting rallies meet great food and good coffee!

Kicks – The Pickle Exchange, located at 6A, Jalan Riang Utama, Taman Gembira, 81200 Johor Bahru, Johor Darul Ta’zim, Malaysia, is Johor Bahru’s latest pickleball social club, and it might be the best one yet as it’s perfect for newbies, suitable for pros, and great for everyone in between.

So, what’s exactly up in Kicks – The Pickle Exchange, you ask? Let’s take a look:

  • Six VIP courts 
  • Two tournament-grade courts
  • Paddle rentals (RM5 per session for the KICKS Signature Fibreglass Paddle and RM8 per session for the KICKS Pro Series T700 Carbon Fibre Paddle)
  • Pusun Smart Pro Robot for solo drills (RM35 per hour)
  • The Pickle Parlour for some pickleball shopping (Well-known brands like Franklin, JOOLA, and SIX ZERO are featured here.)

Court rental rates are as follows:

Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.): RM45/hour

Monday to Friday (5:00 p.m.to 1:00 a.m.): RM60/hour

Saturday to Sunday (9:00 a.m.to 2am): RM60/hour
Monday to Friday (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.): RM50/hour

Monday to Friday (5:00 p.m.to 1:00 a.m.): RM70/hour

Saturday to Sunday (9:00 a.m.to 2am): RM70/hour  

Courts at the Kicks – The Pickle Exchange can be rented for a minimum of one hour. Reservations can be made here at least five days in advance. Cancellations are permitted but with a fee unless it is done within 24 hours of the initial booking.

More Than Pickleball at Kicks – The Pickle Exchange

While pickleball is the undisputed star of Kicks – The Pickle Exchange, it also boasts great food for when you’re done with your matches. The TPX Juice & Coffee Bar serves some mean coffee, whether hot or cold, while Seven Oats Bakehouse offers delicious dining options like its OG Cheese Steak Croissant Sandwich, Creamy Tuna Milk Toast Sandwich, and Loaded Lamb Croger (a croissant-burger combo)
