Picklrs Open Showdown 2026: A Platform for High-Level Competition and More

The Picklrs Open Showdown 2026 also boasted a total cash prize pool exceeding BND5,000 and provided Brunei’s pickleball community with a fitting platform for high-level competition that featured diverse playing styles and skill levels. The tournament itself proved to be a worthwhile avenue for building competitive confidence and accelerating skill development.

Moreover, the organisers also conducted Level 1 Pickleball Coaching and Referee Programmes throughout the event proper. These training sessions produced 24 certified Level 1 coaches and five certified referees.

Brunei Picklers offers grassroots engagement on Reclub and offers beginner clinics and weekly social play sessions every Friday, with the end goal of fostering an inclusive and supportive community for players of all levels. It is planning to follow up the tournament with initiatives specifically focused on junior athlete development, as it aims to build a strong foundation for pickleball. The group is also planning to hold additional tournaments and sporting events to increase international participation, enhance sports entertainment, and contribute to economic growth.

Guest of Honour Awangku Arif bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Acting Tutong District Officer, graced the final day of the Picklrs Open Showdown 2026 and helped present the prizes to the top three winners in each category.
