Vietnam is arguably one of the hottest spots for pickleball in the whole world, so it is no surprise it has been chosen to host the 2026 Pickleball World Cup. The Pickleball World Cup announced the development on Instagram.
“For the first time ever, the Pickleball World Cup is heading to Asia… and we’re bringing it to DA NANG,” wrote the Pickleball World Cup on its official Instagram account. “A new chapter begins. A new stage is set. A new energy rises from the heart of Asia.”
The Pickleball World Cup added: “This is more than a destination — it’s where passion meets purpose, where players become history, and where the world comes together through sport… VIETNAM 2026 — this isn’t just a tournament… this is a movement.”
Since it was first held in 2023, the Pickleball World Cup has become an annual global showcase for the world’s fastest-rising sport. The inaugural edition, held in Lima, Peru, featured only 14 players, followed by 33 in 2024. The 2025 Pickleball World Cup, held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, last year, proved to be the biggest iteration ever, attracting over 3,000 players from 68 countries and more than 25,000 fans over the course of six exciting days.
The 2026 Pickleball World Cup in Da Nang, Vietnam, could potentially be even bigger, as the country is known to be among the most pickleball-crazy nations in the world. It also has first-hand experience hosting big pickleball tournaments, as it is a fixture on the PPA Tour Asia. In a week’s time, in fact, it will be the venue of the PPA Tour Asia’s first tournament of 2026, the MB Hanoi Cup, which will feature Anna Leigh Waters, Ben Johns, and a bunch of other international pro superstars.
Then, come 30 August to 6 September, Vietnam will again flex its growing pickleball landscape when it hosts the 2026 Pickleball World Cup.
