India’s Aditya Khanna has been appointed Asia Continental Director of the Global Pickleball Federation (GPF) Board, and his personal mission is as clear as it is exciting: make Asia a pickleball powerhouse.
Khanna, a former tennis player and Secretary of the Asian Pickleball Association, is a highly respected voice in India’s growing pickleball community and is described by the GPF as “a pioneering figure in Indian pickleball.” He is also serving as the CEO of the Indian Pickleball Association, the National Sports Federation for pickleball in India, and as the first Secretary of the Asian Pickleball Association, the continental federation of the Global Pickleball Federation (GPF).
According to the GPF, Khanna has also been instrumental in bringing together Asian member nations and establishing the organisational structure for the sport, while also conceptualising and launching the Indian Pickleball League in December 2025.
With his election to the GPF Board, Khanna is now better positioned to play a big role in growing the sport across the entirety of Asia—and that is exactly what he intends to do.
“I am proud to serve as a newly elected Board Member of the Global Pickleball Federation as the Asian Continent Director. It is an honour to represent Asia at the global level and work closely with the GPF to strengthen international collaboration and advance pickleball’s Olympic mission,” he told Pickleball Now. “A key priority will be bringing world-class pickleball events to Asia and India, and ensuring the continent plays a significant role in shaping the sport’s global future.”
To that end, Khanna is looking at hosting events in India, Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines, as these countries, according to him, have shown “rapid growth in participation and competitive standards.” For the newly minted GPF Board Member, bringing world-class pickleball into these countries will help position Asia as a competitive and commercial hub for pickleball, and this will, in turn, reshape the sport into a truly global force.
Finally, Aditya Khanna’s vision is clear as day: position Asia as a global powerhouse of pickleball.
