Asia Federation of Pickleball Installs Arvin Prabhoo as New Chair, Thanks Predecessor Hogan Lai for Job Well Done
The Asia Federation of Pickleball has welcomed Arvin Ramesh Prabhoo as its new Chairman. He replaces Hogan Lai, whose chairmanship formally ended on Monday after four years.
Prabhoo, according to the Asia Federation of Pickleball, is “a highly respected sports administrator with over 25 years of distinguished service in sports leadership, management, and development” and is “a passionate advocate for inclusivity, grassroots development, and athlete welfare.”
Prabhoo, who notably helped organise the Bainbridge Pickleball World Cup, should be well-known in pickleball circles as he has been leading India’s participation in international competitions as the Chairman of the All India Pickleball Association. He will concurrently serve as Chairman of both the Asia Federation of Pickleball and the All India Pickleball Association, as well as President of the International Federation of Pickleball.
Asia Federation of Pickleball Gives Outgoing Chairman a Fitting Thank You
With Prabhoo’s appointment, the Asia Federation of Pickleball gave outgoing Chairman Hogan Lai a fitting farewell with a heartfelt thank-you note posted on the organisation’s website.

“On behalf of the Asia Federation of Pickleball, we extend our deepest gratitude for your exemplary leadership and dedicated service as Chairman,” said the note. “Throughout your tenure, you have demonstrated outstanding vision, unwavering commitment, and genuine passion for the growth and development of pickleball across Asia.”
According to the note, Lai’s leadership and vision not only helped in strengthening the Federation’s foundations but also in expanding its reach and fostering a spirit of unity among players, associations, and enthusiasts all around Asia. The Federation also lauded Lai’s “tireless efforts and steadfast dedication” that have “laid a strong foundation for continued success and progress in the years to come.”
Indeed, Lai has elevated the Asia Federation of Pickleball in his four years as Chairman. Now, it is Prabhoo’s turn to build on the gains of the Lai regime and bring the Federation to even greater heights.
