DUPR Extends Its Reign as Official Rating Partner of the Pickleball World Cup

Pickleball’s biggest global stage is returning later this summer, and once again DUPR will be right at the heart of it. For the third year running, the sport’s most trusted rating system has been confirmed as the official partner of the Pickleball World Cup—an event that continues to grow in scale and prestige.

From 30 August to 6 September, Da Nang will play host to what is expected to be the largest edition yet, with more than 4,000 athletes representing over 80 nations. Vietnam’s fast-rising pickleball community, coupled with its modern facilities and international accessibility, makes the city an ideal setting for a week that promises to be a landmark in the sport’s global journey.

Why DUPR Matters on the World Stage

DUPR has become the common language of pickleball, powering ratings across more than 190 countries. Its integration into the World Cup ensures competitive integrity, accurate seeding, and a fair measure of performance for players from every corner of the globe. For athletes, it means their efforts on court are benchmarked against the very best, while for organisers it guarantees consistency across divisions.

The World Cup isn’t just about national team competition. Alongside the headline matches, participants will also have access to the Heineken International Pickleball Tournament—World Cup Edition. With over 160 categories spanning skill levels, age groups, and professional divisions, it offers something for everyone, from seasoned pros to rising juniors.

Voices Behind the Partnership

Hercilio Cabieses, the driving force behind the World Cup, has been clear about the mission: to unite countries through pickleball. Partnering with DUPR, he says, is a natural fit for that vision. Tito Machado, DUPR’s CEO, echoed the sentiment, highlighting the event’s role in fostering community, international connection, and healthy competition.

“The Pickleball World Cup represents everything that makes pickleball special: community, international connection, and healthy competition. We’re excited to support an event that is bringing together players from dozens of countries and helping accelerate the growth of the sport across Asia and beyond,” said Machado. “As pickleball continues its global expansion, partnerships like this help create more opportunities for players everywhere to compete, connect, and measure themselves against the world.”

“Our mission has always been to create a truly global event that brings countries together through pickleball. Partnering with DUPR aligns perfectly with that vision. DUPR is without a doubt the global standard for measuring player performance, and their support will help us continue elevating the competitive experience while welcoming more players and nations than ever before,” Cabieses added.

With divisions ranging from Open and Senior to Junior, Masters, and Kids, plus a packed schedule of clinics, educational programmes, and industry events, Da Nang is set to become the epicentre of pickleball this August. Registration is already open, and anticipation is building for what promises to be a defining chapter in the sport’s global expansion.
