Friday Pickleball Makes Way to Pickleball-Crazy Philippines
It was just a matter of time
Friday Pickleball, one of the sport’s premier and most well-known brands have officially entered one of the sport’s most exciting markets: that of the Philippines. The global brand marked its local debut over the past week at the Toby’s Sports Flagship Store in Bonifacio Global City. Fittingly, pickleball games were played along BGC 5th Avenue to usher in this long-awaited arrival.
Friday Pickleball is known for its paddles and accessories designed for players of different skill levels, from beginners to more competitive athletes.Among the products now available in the Philippines are the Aura and Aura Pro paddles.

Additionally, Friday Pickleball held the Friday Auras Tour in the country to further mark the brand’s entry into the Philippines. The tour featured pro clinics, challenge courts, exhibition matches, and more and made stops in Dumaguete and Cebu before concluding in Davao over the weekend.
Pickleball’s rise in the Philippines has been exponential to say the least, and it reflects a perfect convergence of accessibility, community spirit, and modern leisure trends. The sport’s appeal lies in its simplicity—easy to learn, inexpensive to play, and suitable for all ages—making it ideal for a country where social recreation and inclusivity are deeply valued.
Over the past few years, dedicated courts have sprung up in malls, sports hubs, and residential estates, while local tournaments and celebrity endorsements have helped drive visibility. Its fast-paced yet low-impact nature resonates with Filipinos seeking active lifestyles without the intensity of traditional racquet sports.
As facilities expand and grassroots programmes flourish, pickleball is steadily transforming from a niche pastime into a mainstream fixture of the nation’s sporting culture.
Needless to say, Friday Pickleball’s entry into the Philippines is long overdue and quite timely, what with the sport firmly about to enter the nation’s mainstream sporting consciousness.
