The Dinagyang Festival is a world-famous cultural and religious celebration held every January in Iloilo City, Philippines to honour the Santo Niño (Child Jesus). It showcases vibrant street dancing, elaborate costumes, and rhythmic drumbeats and celebrates Iloilo’s rich heritage, unity, and devotion through colorful parades and community performances. Next year, it will also be hosting pickleball to add to all the fun.
The Dinagyang Pickleball Cup 2026 will take place from 16 to 18 January 2026 at the Central Philippine University Gymnasium in Jaro, Iloilo City. It is expected to be one of the highlights of next year’s Dinagyang Festival, which will happen in the third week of January.
Categories for the Dinagyang Pickleball Cup 2026 will be Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Each category will have four divisions, namely Doubles Open, Executive (50+ for Women and Mixed, 55+ for Men), Intermediate 35(+), and Intermediate (-)35 Below.

Notably, this isn’t the first time a major festival in the Philippines will feature a pickleball tournament. Back in August, Davao City held the 2025 Kadayawan sa Dabaw Pickleball Doubles Tournament as part of the festivities for the Kadayawan Festival. That one-day competition featured four categories—intermediate, beginners, 40-and-above, and 50-and-above and drew approximately 200 players from Cotabato, Maguindanao, General Santos City, Koronadal City, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and the three Davao provinces.
Medals, cash prizes, and bragging rights will be at stake at the Dinagyang Pickleball Cup 2026.
