Rising pickleball star Jimmy Liong is officially part of Franklin Sports.
The Malaysian sensation formally announced on Facebook that he has joined the Franklin family and that his next chapter has begun.
“My next chapter starts here,” Liong wrote. “I’m officially joining the Franklin Family.”
In the same post, Liong gave some insight into why he chose to sign with Franklin, specifically pointing out his and the brand’s shared beliefs about the sport.
“This isn’t about a logo or a contract,” said the UPA Trail Blazers Programme alum. “It’s about believing in the same things, playing the game the right way, holding high standards, and growing pickleball properly, especially here at home.”
Liong also made a promise that is sure to make the Malaysian pickleball community happy, proud, and excited all at the same time.
“I’ll give everything I have to represent Malaysia on the world stage and do the Franklin name proud, on and off the court,” Liong vowed. “Grateful for the trust. Time to put in the work and raise the level together.”
Franklin Sports had previously unveiled Jimmy Liong as the newest member of the Franklin Malaysia Pro Team. His signing comes just months after the Malaysian bade goodbye to former sponsor Facolos Pickleball.
Now, Jimmy Liong will have a new partner as he moves his pickleball career forward, and the possibilities seem endless.
