More Than Competition: Malaysia’s Federal Territory Youth Council Set to Hold Piala Iseigur 2026 Ultimate Pickleball Battle
Malaysia’s Federal Territory Youth Council (MBWP) will be holding the Piala Iseigur 2026 Ultimate Pickleball Battle at Dink Arena @ Avenue 25, USJ, on 25–26 April 2026.
The inaugural tournament will offer a total prize pool of RM150,000, with an expected turnout of approximately 900 participants.
“This tournament is more than just a competition; it serves as a platform to combine sports promotion, youth engagement, and social responsibility,” MBWP President Khairul Rizam Abu Samah told MalaysiaGazette. “Piala Iseigur is not merely a sporting event. It is a long-term platform to encourage community participation, foster a healthy and active lifestyle, and incorporate elements of welfare.”
Tournament Categories and Details
According to Khairul Rizam, the Piala Iseigur 2026 Ultimate Pickleball Battle will have six categories:
- Mixed Doubles
- Men’s Doubles
- Children’s Doubles (Ages 7–12)
- Intermediate Mixed Doubles
- Intermediate Men’s Doubles
- Women’s Doubles
Each team entry will be charged a registration fee of RM300, and tournament slots are limited to 900 participants.
Why Dink Arena?
The MBWP President noted that they chose Dink Arena because it features 19 pickleball courts, making it the ideal venue for a two-day tournament expected to accommodate 900 participants.
“Even though the venue is located in Selangor, this is a maiden project by MBWP, initiated alongside the Young Malaysians Movement (YMM) with the support of the organisers,” he said.
Among the co-organisers of this event are Chromacore, Tan Chee Kiah, Ong Money, and Low Wen Kit.

Khairul Rizam explained that choosing pickleball as the tournament’s focus was not just about the lucrative prizes, but rather to promote a healthy lifestyle among the public, particularly the youth.
As pickleball is a fast-paced, high-skill, and fun sport with simple rules, participation to the Piala Iseigur 2026 Ultimate Pickleball Battle is open to all ages.
