This Father’s Day, Rally With Your Dad—MILO’s Pickleball Tournament Is the Best Thing You’ll Do Together All Year

On 21 June 2026, Tomaz Pickleball Club is hosting the MILO Father’s Day Pickleball Tournament 2026—a full day of competition, connection, and community built around the one pairing that matters most: fathers and their children, playing side by side on the same court.
This is not your average weekend tournament. It is a celebration of family wrapped in the format of competitive sport—and it is open to everyone from young beginners stepping onto a pickleball court for the first time to seasoned players looking for a meaningful way to mark the occasion.
What Makes This One Different
The MILO Father’s Day Pickleball Tournament is a father‑child doubles event, which means every team on court shares something more than a partnership—they share a family bond. Categories are structured to accommodate different ages and pairings, including Child 13 and Under, Daughters Under 19, Sons Under 19, and Child Any Age—giving families of every configuration a competitive home.
This is not a DUPR‑rated event, which means the focus is squarely on participation, performance, and enjoyment rather than ranking implications. Come ready to compete. Come ready to have fun. Bring your dad, or bring your child—and let the game do the rest.
What Is Up for Grabs
The prizes are real. Medals and cash prizes are on the table across categories, alongside exclusive giveaways such as pickleballs and paddles from the sponsors for the gold‑medal winners, a bag for silver medallists, and T‑shirts for the third‑placers. And because it is a MILO event, there will also be MILO hampers for all podium finishers.
How It Works
The tournament kicks off at 8:00 AM at Tomaz Pickleball Club. Round‑robin games use rally scoring to 15 with no deuce and no serve required to win. Quarterfinals and semifinals step up to 21 points on the same format, while the Finals and Third‑Place Match go to 21, also with no serve required to win—raising the stakes for the teams that make it through.
To ensure fairness and correct officiating, referees will be present all day to handle officiating matters. In case of disputes, the teams involved will be given leeway to reach an amicable resolution. Barring that, they will be escalated to the Tournament Director if needed. Additionally, one timeout per team per game is permitted in the Finals and Third‑Place Match. Standard USAPA rules apply throughout.
The event is open to Malaysians and Malaysian resident permit holders only.
More Than a Tournament
Pickleball has a way of bringing people together that few other sports match—the court is small, the rallies are fast, and the fun is immediate. Put a father and child on the same side of the net, give them a common opponent and something worth competing for, and what you get is a memory that outlasts any trophy.
