Smash Republic Steps Into Philippine Pickleball With Frost Series

Pickleball in the Philippines has welcomed a new homegrown name as Smash Republic officially made its entry into the market with the launch of its Frost Series at Timberland Highlands Resort.

The launch was more than just a product unveiling. It brought together players, partners, and supporters for a lively day of activities—Open Play sessions, the Republic Challenge, target serve and longest dink competitions, and even a mini tournament. Founding members Zabyzaky Leccio, Peter Balagulan, Jacklyn Rivera, Prince Constante, and Janina Santiago marked the occasion with ceremonial “first serves,” signalling the start of what they hope will be a lasting contribution to the sport.

Smash Republic’s entry is driven by a bigger ambition: to support the growth of pickleball in the country while making quality equipment accessible to players of all levels. The Frost Series itself is built around T700 Eurocore Advance Honeycomb Technology, with a coarser‑grit surface designed to deliver spin, control, consistency, feel, and durability. Players who tested the paddles during the launch pointed to longer dwell time and precise shot placement as standout features.

For Leccio, who also serves as CEO, the mission goes beyond selling paddles. “We build communities, not just customers. We showcase real players,” he said, underscoring the company’s intent to foster a culture around pickleball rather than simply push products.

With the Frost Series now out in the market and the Blck Series lined up next, Smash Republic is positioning itself not only as a competitor in the expanding pickleball scene but also as a builder of networks and communities. In a sport that thrives on connection and shared passion, that approach might just prove to be its biggest advantage.
