Will Howells Officially Takes Talents to PPA Tour After Double Gold at Last APP Event
Will Howells, one of the most successful pros in the APP Tour, is officially transferring to the PPA Tour—but not before serving one final reminder that he is plenty good.
Howells, arguably among the world’s best in pickleball, finished with two gold medals in the 2025 Geico APP Tour Finals, the APP Tour’s last stop for the 2025 season, winning the crown in Men’s Doubles with longtime partner Jack Munro, and topping Mixed Doubles with usual partner-in-winning Bobbi Oshiro.
Afterwards, the 26-year-old American took to X to thank his perennial partners, Munro and Oshiro, as he described his last day at the APP Tour as “bittersweet.”
“Bittersweet day today: happy to finish the year strong with two golds in APP Ft Lauderdale, but sad to say goodbye to two incredible partners in Bobbi and Jack. Can’t thank them enough for their friendship and support!” Howells tweeted. “Looking forward to cheering them both on going forward.”
At about the same time Howells sent out his tweet, PPA Tour Founder Connor Pardoe also took to X to congratulate the pickleball star and welcome him to the PPA Tour at the same time.
“Excited to watch @WillHowells_pb compete on the @PPAtour the next three years!” Pardoe wrote. “See you in January… and congratulations on finishing your year-end event with gold.”
Will Howells’ three-year deal with the PPA Tour begins on 1 January 2026.
