2026 APP Vlasic Classic Cincinnati: Katerina Stewart, Jack Munro Lead Winners With Two Golds Apiece
The APP Tour put on a show for a packed house along Cincinnati’s riverfront, and two players walked away from Sawyer Point with two gold medals apiece.
Katerina Stewart and Jack Munro were the stars of the 2026 APP Vlasic Classic Cincinnati, each claiming a pair of titles in front of a capacity crowd that included the world’s best pros, the AARP Champions and Masters divisions, and hundreds of amateurs all chasing prize money and a spot at the USA Pickleball National Championships.
Stewart Goes Back-to-Back in Singles
Defending women’s singles champion Stewart faced a scare early against No. 4 seed Domenika Turkovic, who jumped out to the first 3 points of the match. Stewart steadied and rallied to win game one 11-6, then carried the momentum into game two for an 11-3 victory—her second straight APP Tour women’s singles title.
“It’s been a difficult tournament with the conditions,” Stewart said, referencing the Queen City’s heat and humidity. “I just told myself I had to give everything, I had to try and get this gold, and I’m happy I came on top with it.”
Bobbi Oshiro took the women’s singles bronze.
Dusty Boyer Finally Breaks Through
In a battle of the top two seeds, Dusty Boyer denied Ronan Camron his first gold of the season—and claimed his own first career APP Tour title in the process. Boyer’s shot placement and determination carried him to an 11-5 win in game one, and he closed it out 11-4 in game two.
“It feels good to finally get one—I’ve lost a few close ones now,” Boyer said. “It’s been a fun week.”
Andre Millet earned men’s singles bronze.
Riley Bohnert and Stewart Stun the Top Seeds
The women’s doubles final produced the upset of the day. No. 7 seeds Riley Bohnert and Katerina Stewart took down No. 1 seeds and defending champions Megan Fudge and Sofia Sewing, winning 11-3 in game one before completing the job in a thriller—Fudge and Sewing led 8-4 in game two before Bohnert and Stewart reeled off the final 7 points to win 11-8.
It was the first gold medal for Bohnert and Stewart as a pairing.
“I want to shout out the crowd in Cincinnati, you guys were awesome,” Bohnert said. “I also want to shout out my family, they showed up today and it meant the world to me.”
Susannah Barr and Oshiro picked up women’s doubles bronze.
Richard Livornese and Munro Keep Streak Alive
The APP Tour’s No. 1 men’s doubles seeds, Richard Livornese, Jr. and Jack Munro, made light work of first-time finalists Ronan Camron and Drake Palm, winning 11-4, 11-3 to claim back-to-back men’s doubles gold medals.
“Cincinnati every year has a great crowd, so Jack and I definitely felt the energy,” Livornese said. “It was a lot of fun.”
Brandon Lane and Robert Slutsky took the bronze.
Jill Braverman and Munro Survive Epic Mixed Final
The mixed doubles final closed out the championship action—and it did not disappoint. No. 3 seeds Jill Braverman and Munro dropped game one 2-11 to top seeds Sofia Sewing and Casey Diamond, who then edged game two 11-8. Sewing and Diamond raced to a 7-2 lead in the decider before Braverman and Munro stormed back, tying it at 9-9 and taking the final points to win 11-9.
Asked what pushed her and Munro over the top, Braverman had a simple answer: “The fans.”
Ryler DeHeart and Oshiro took mixed doubles bronze—Oshiro’s third bronze medal of the day in Cincinnati.
The 2026 APP Vlasic Classic also featured competition in the AARP Champions (50+) and Masters (60+) divisions, along with the return of the Humana Cup, the APP’s season-long team event for pros 50 and older.
