Hong Kong Slam Set to Close PPA Tour Asia’s 2026 Season in October

As per the PPA Tour Asia’s announcement earlier this week, the 2026 season will culminate in October with the Hong Kong Slam. It will mark the PPA Tour Asia’s second foray into Hong Kong after last year’s Hong Kong Open, and it promises to close the season with a bang.

Scheduled for 19–25 October 2026, the Hong Kong Slam will bring the tour’s most iconic stars to a city specially built for sport and entertainment. But aside from being the PPA Tour Asia’s second entry into Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Slam will also be the biggest professional pickleball tournament to be played in Asia, boasting a USD $1.1 million pro prize purse and promising to feature over the sport’s biggest names.

What’s more, the Hong Kong Slam will be the one and only chance for players to complete the 2026 tour medal set. The roaring dragon head—the crowning piece of the season’s interlocking hardware—is only up for grabs at the final stop.

Another Homecoming for Jack Wong Hong-kit

The first time the PPA Tour Asia took the action to Hong Kong, local hero Jack Wong Hong-kit proved to be the star of stars, winning the Men’s Singles gold and narrowly missing out on the Men’s Doubles title with Korea’s Kim Eunggwon.

That was back in August 2025, and since then, Hong-kit has only solidified his status as one of Asia’s best. In fact, he finished the inaugural PPA Tour Asia season as the top-ranked player in Men’s Singles.

This season, Hong-kit will have a target on his back, and how he fares under increased pressure and scrutiny will be among the top storylines of this new PPA Tour Asia go-round. Worth keeping an eye on, most especially, is whether Hong-kit will continue to be No. 1 in his division when the PPA Tour Asia returns to his home in Hong Kong.

Indeed, the Hong Kong Slam will close out what promises to be an action-packed 2026 season, and it is certainly a finale worth waiting for.
